Goldfish Tank Phone Booths Pop Up Across Japan

In Japanese culture, goldfishes hold symbolic significance—they are believed to bring happiness and prosperity.

To spread the good luck, Kansai-based art collective Kingyobu (Goldfish Club) decided to install ‘charms’ by repurposing phone booths and turning them into goldfish tanks.

The tank phone booths were filled up with the shimmering aquatic pet, and installed across various locations in Osaka—as something magical on ordinary streets.
