Berlin-based artist Sebastian Schmieg, in collaboration with Silvio Lorusso, put together images of broken Kindle screens, and ironically curated them in a print-on-demand paperback book that can also be purchased as an e-book for Kindles.

The book, fittingly entitled ‘56 Broken Kindle Screens’, takes the broken e-ink display and examines the reading device’s material—to show an interesting collage.

“As the screens break, they become collages composed of different pages, cover illustrations and interface elements,” Schmieg wrote on his website.
