In a satirical video to promote the Emmy Awards this weekend, Parker Posey portrays a hardcore acting coach JA,N (which stands for Just Act, Naturally), who teaches aspiring actors on how to deliver the ‘perfect Emmy Acceptance Speech’.
From the essentials in the speech when you win, to how to react when you lose, the class prepares you for “the most important part of any actor’s career”.
“The Emmy acceptance speech is the first time you get to show the world who you really are,” one of the students say. “Well, not who you really are, but the characters JA,N says you should be, and I like that because I don’t like me very much.”
