The Evolution Of Aston Martin’s Iconic Logo

English luxury car-maker Aston Martin is probably one of the most well-known brands in the automobile industry—it’s call to fame came in 1963 when the Aston Martin DB5 was chosen as James Bond’s car of choice in cult film Goldfinger.

Logo design website “Logo Design Love” recently traced the evolution of the brand’s logo, from its inception in 1914 to the present—it is interesting to know that the logo’s iconic wings were only added in 1927 after the company changed ownership.

The now-famous logo was continuously refined throughout its century-long history—while the general look of the logo remains, subtle changes to the typography and pattern detail were made to keep it current.
