Bizarre Monochromatic Photographs Inspired By Children's Dreams

Brooklyn-born photographer Arthur Tress has photographed a surreal series of work inspired by children's dreams.

His body of work is rendered in monochrome, depicting disturbing scenes of scary characters appearing in odd places.

Described as “magic realism”, these photographs fuse improvised elements of actual life with staged fantasy—Tress explains that these dream photographs are an expression of “how the child's creative imagination is constantly transforming his existence into magical symbols”.
