San Francisco-based artist Robert Bowen has illustrated a collection of drawings that features animal-machine hybrids.
The unusual series is a result of combining the bodies of various insects and fishes with engines parts and propellers.
Bowen describes his own work as “strange, swirling brew of colorful contradiction that is not easy to define or even understand”.
