Newly released this week, ‘Typendium’ lets you uncover the interesting stories behind your favorite typefaces through short historical accounts and illustrations.
iOS developer William Robinson and artist Robyn Nevison started work on the app in 2013, encountering “many ups and downs along the way”.
The first release of ‘Typendium’ lets you check out the histories of Baskerville and Futura for free, while a one-time payment of US$0.99 lets you unlock the stories behind all other typefaces.
